Criteria for Scholarship CFSN
Mission: Certified Fitness for Special Needs offers inclusive fitness programs that cater to individuals of all abilities, including those with special needs.
Impact focus: Provide fitness to those who desire to experience the benefits of exercise and the social impact of exercise. This 6-week membership will include either 1 hour session for 6 weeks or 2 (1/2)
hour sessions for 6 weeks. Some of the surrounding counties we serve include Sussex, Somerset, Warren, Middlesex, Union, Bergen, Mercer and Hunterdon.
1.Eligibility Criteria: Financial Hardship: Potential recipients must demonstrate in some way an inability to pay for fitness
services. This could include individuals facing financial challenges due to unemployment, disability or other circumstances.
2. Age Limitations: Those who are ineligible for assistance from DDD, Department of Developmental Disabilities which is 21 and over. If so, everyone will beassessed by their physical and cognitive impairments to ensure we are available to meet their needs.
3. Uncertainty of Commitment: Potential recipients must exhibit a genuine interest in improving their health and fitness and commit to a 6-week program. Cancellations and No-shows will be forfeited. Grants will be awarded at a maximum of 4 per year.
4. Other Examples: In addition to the criteria outlined above, potential recipients may be considered based on other factors such as medical needs, social isolation, or lack of access to other fitness resources in their community. Each case will be evaluated on an individual basis To determine eligibility for the 6-week member ship.
